I also recently bought a handheld Sony miniature recorder (similar to the one I used to use as a journalist, except digital) so hopefully now I'll never miss an opportunity to 'write'! :-)Yvette Carolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17828265447361659310noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-907465203795782497.post-79317529511399415712014-10-02T16:03:37.548-07:002014-10-02T16:03:37.548-07:00I carry a pen and paper in my purse, so when I am ...I carry a pen and paper in my purse, so when I am waiting e.g. Dr. Appt, or waiting on anything, or find myself with a few minutes I write ideas down or work out problems on my WIP. In the car you can carry a recording device, so you can talk into while you drive then jot it down when I get home. I have a friend who claims 2 hours once a week. She goes in her room, shuts her door and everyone know during those 2 hours do not bother. She doesn't answer the phone or the door during that time. Finding time can be harder for some than others, but you just do it, claim it. I have another friend who gets up 2 hrs early everyday just to write, because it is the only time she has available in her day to do it. The perfect time never occurs, however, when you get use to doing every day no matter what time you find your time you will find it gets easier to do it. You will also find you miss it, when you don't which motivates you to go back to it.

Anyway Happy Writing and I hope you find your sweet spot for writing.
Juneta at Writer's Gambit
Juneta keyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08815758043024184034noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-907465203795782497.post-88556850123255842152014-10-02T12:00:20.425-07:002014-10-02T12:00:20.425-07:00Good luck in your search for that pesky thing call...Good luck in your search for that pesky thing called time. I know that really doesn't sound like much, but it forced me to at least get started each day. If I couldn't get beyond 20 words, I told myself that was okay. It's college, and stuff happens. But more often than not, writing those 20 words caused a sort of writing avalanche, and by the end of the day I'd have a few pages done.

I hope that helps, and good luck with your studies.

-James.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
