Get Healthy Bloghop

Today I am participating in the Get Healthy Bloghop! My favorite ways to get healthy are sleep, sleep, and more sleep. Being the high school almost-senior that I am, sleep is always a hard concept. I either have 1) way too much homework or 2) a bad procrastination habit that causes me to do my homework way too late. More often than not, I feel so much better when I get at least 8 hours of sleep.

  1. I used to need about 12 hours sleep when I was 17/18. Sleep is very important!

  2. I learned, way back in college, I'm useless if I try to pull all-nighters. I still am an early-to-bed-early-to-rise gal. I'm with Annalisa on this; I don't compromise on sleep. Good tip.

  4. Agreed, sleep is one of the most important things we can do for our bodies and mental health... if only I didn't suffer from insomnia lol I've found a balance though, but trust me, I appreciate every single second I get ;)

  5. Hi, Morgan,

For many sleep is very necessary. But for me and some other too much sleep isn't a good thing. I could never sleep EIGHT plus hours. My average is five to six. Any more and I drag all day. I really does depend on the person.

Good luck with your studies and thanks for joining in on the HOP!

  6. Getting the right amount of sleep (whether it be five hours or twelve, depending) is one of the most important things in getting fit, in my opinion.

  7. As someone who tends to suffer from insomnia, I agree, sleep is important!

  8. Hi, I think this is blog number 22 and it's the first time I think anyone's mentioned sleep. I find I don't need 8 hours every night, sometimes only 5, but every once in a while I catch up by sleeping all afternoon. Strange sleeping habit, but works for me!

  9. Oh to be able to sleep more. I haven't really slept in for years. My body just won't let me anymore.

  10. I can't imagine 8 hours of sleep on a regular basis. I have been averaging about 5.5 for the past few years.

  11. I used to go to the gym with my hubby, but he started to go earlier and earlier and I gained weight. Once I started to sleep in the extra hour or so, I lost the weight. So sleep is very important!

  12. Hi Morgan - sleep is an essential .. I really need 7 hours or so minimum - but could do with a good dose of sleep now -

Studying though - you need to refresh and in fact you learn too as you mull things before sleep takes over ..

Good luck with it all .. I forgot to mention sleep - happy studying .. cheers Hilary
