IWSG: Writer's Block

I thought I should probably explain the reasoning behind the title of this blog, as it goes perfectly with IWSG.

The title of this blog, as you know, is Writer's Block. I have always struggled with this, especially when writing fiction pieces. I can never come up with the perfect plot line- everything I come up with sucks. On those rare occasions when I do form an original plot line, it's always terribly dull and painfully predictable. How about you all? How do you create a solid plot line to lure your readers in?

  1. For me I write until I have it done then go back and fix it. Hardest part is getting those first few pieces done and behind you.

  2. I'm still not sure if my writing really does draw people in, but yeah, what Brandon said. Write it first, proofread and make your changes after.

  3. Just stopping by from the IWSG to say Hi :)

Ooooo, Writers Block *shudders* I don't often suffer from it, but not because I'm some fantastic writer who's prose is amazing, no, i guess because i just write through it. I use prompts if I'm really stuck, but other than that, i write EVERY SINGLE DAY. Mosts of its rubbish, but every so often i come up with something usable ;)

    Good luck honey xx

  4. Oh yeah. Some authors seem to have the most fantastic imagination and I stand open-mouthed and go, "Wooowwwww!" and then I look at mine and weep. But you know what? Every story has already been written. All we do is write the same story a different way. Makes sense, eh?
