A is for Ariel
I am really similiar to Ariel. Not because I have red hair (mine is brown), but because I can be stubborn and am always determined to do things my way. I'm also similiar to Ariel because I can be reluctant and have a really strong conscience. Ariel's reluctant to go with Flotsam and Jetsam to Ursula's cave, and again when Ursula is trying to get her to sign the contract. I love Ariel because we have a lot of the same personality traits, and I also love belting out the lyrics to "Part of Your World" in the shower (in private, of course!)!
A is for Aurora
A is for Aurora. An interesting fact about 'Sleeping Beauty' is that it's my all-time favorite Disney Movie! Also, did you know that Aurora only has 18 lines of spoken dialogue in the entire film? Also interesting are the facts that Aurora is one of the only princesses with both parents alive, and that Aurora never really meets Maleficient. All the other princesses know their villains. I love Aurora because of her kindness and compassion towards others.
Ooooh interesting! These were two of my favorite princesses growing up...literally watched Sleeping Beauty ten times a day. When my dad called to tell me that my mom had given birth to another boy (at the age of 4, I was desperately hoping for a sister), I said, "That's okay. He can watch Sleeping Beauty with me anyway." Great post!
ReplyDeleteYay, the Challenge is on already!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe Aurora only has 18 lines. Jeesh. I'm glad they started giving princess bigger roles.
I love Disney characters... Keep going...
ReplyDeleteI'm also participating in A to Z challenge. Come to my world [http://shinningappy.blogspot.in/]
Your theme is going to take us down the memory lane. I like Ariel too :)

Ariel is a great pick and I don't blame you for picking more than one character! It's hard with so many choices.

I did fairy tales as my theme last year. I can't wait to read all your posts! And I love Ariel too! Little Mermaid is possibly my favorite Disney princess movie.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the 2015 A to Z Challenge!

I loved how curious and plucky Ariel was.

I have a few young grandchildren left and this will provide an update so Grammy is in the KNOW.
ReplyDeleteSleeping Beauty changed the direction of my life as a child and led me down an artist's path (although I didn't stay on it, I will always consider myself an artist). It's is one of the most beautiful piece of artwork ever created and Eyvind Earle's backgrounds still inspire me to this very day. But I also love her as a character as she is the Princess closest to my heart. Great topic and can't wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteThe Little Mermaid is one of my favorites! Happy A to Z-ing!
ReplyDeleteTheCyborgMom
I did not realize that about Aurora. Good trivia fact!
ReplyDeleteLOVE THIS! Ariel is my favorite! GREAT topic for the challenge! :D

Both GREAT "A" Disney characters, and I loved reading about how you compare yourself to Ariel! I can't wait to see more!
ReplyDeleteStopping by on the A to Z challenge.
ReplyDeleteGreat topic. I too would have trouble choosing just one...Ariel and Aurora are both great Disney princesses.
I love Disney movies! I remember seeing The Little Mermaid in the theater with one of my friends. We were singing for weeks. LOL!

Ariel was my son's first crush! Little Mermaid was the first movie I took him to see in a theater. It was in 1998 and he was mesmerized!
