A is for Ariel and Aurora

I couldn't pick one single character for A, so I had to choose two!

                                         A is for Ariel

I am really similiar to Ariel. Not because I have red hair (mine is brown), but because I can be stubborn and am always determined to do things my way. I'm also similiar to Ariel because I can be reluctant and have a really strong conscience. Ariel's reluctant to go with Flotsam and Jetsam to Ursula's cave, and again when Ursula is trying to get her to sign the contract. I love Ariel because we have a lot of the same personality traits, and I also love belting out the lyrics to "Part of Your World" in the shower (in private, of course!)!

A is for Aurora

A is for Aurora. An interesting fact about 'Sleeping Beauty' is that it's my all-time favorite Disney Movie! Also, did you know that Aurora only has 18 lines of spoken dialogue in the entire film? Also interesting are the facts that Aurora is one of the only princesses with both parents alive, and that Aurora never really meets Maleficient. All the other princesses know their villains. I love Aurora because of her kindness and compassion towards others.

  1. Ooooh interesting! These were two of my favorite princesses growing up...literally watched Sleeping Beauty ten times a day. When my dad called to tell me that my mom had given birth to another boy (at the age of 4, I was desperately hoping for a sister), I said, "That's okay. He can watch Sleeping Beauty with me anyway." Great post!

I can't believe Aurora only has 18 lines. Jeesh. I'm glad they started giving princess bigger roles.

  5. Ariel is a great pick and I don't blame you for picking more than one character! It's hard with so many choices.

  9. Sleeping Beauty changed the direction of my life as a child and led me down an artist's path (although I didn't stay on it, I will always consider myself an artist). It's is one of the most beautiful piece of artwork ever created and Eyvind Earle's backgrounds still inspire me to this very day. But I also love her as a character as she is the Princess closest to my heart. Great topic and can't wait to see more!

Great topic. I too would have trouble choosing just one...Ariel and Aurora are both great Disney princesses.

  16. Ariel was my son's first crush! Little Mermaid was the first movie I took him to see in a theater. It was in 1998 and he was mesmerized!
