The List Blogfest

Today I'm participating in Alex. J Cavanaugh's blogfest about Lists. After much consideration, I've decided to make a list of all my unanswered questions in life. Some of them are very silly, and some more serious. If anyone has the answers to any of these questions, please leave me a note in the comment box!

1. What is the meaning of life?
2. What happens when we die?
3. In The Little Mermaid, why couldn't Ariel have just written Eric a note about the whole Ursula thing? She obviously knows how to write since she signed Ursula's scroll!
4. Why was Snow White so naieve? Why were the animals smarter than she was in terms of not wanting to let the Queen/Witch inside?
5. In Beauty and the Beast, where are the Beast's parents at the beginning of the movie? He's only 11 years old at the start of it!
6. How was Chip the teacup conceived? If the curse started ten years ago and Chip is only around 5 in the movie, how on earth was he conceived if Mrs. Potts is stuck in the castle?
7. What happened to the Seven Dwarves after Snow White went to live with the Prince? Did they ever see each other again? And what happened to the magic mirror?
8. Why doesn't Squidward in "Spongebob" wear pants?
9. If Spongebob lives in a pineapple, how does his house have corners?
10. Why does Gary the Snail meow? That doesn't make any sense!
11. If the city of Bikini Bottom is under water, why do people have to take baths? How do electronics work underwater?
12. How is Pearl, Mr. Krabs' daughter, a whale if her dad is a Krab? Who was her mother, and why doesn't she look anything remotely like a crab?

  1. Thanks for listing with me, Morgan! Your questions are hysterical! Well, except for the first two. One meaning for the purpose of life might be to be thankful. As for what happens when we die, you might ask yourself, who/where was I before I was born?

  2. Ha! Great questions! #3 made me laugh.

I think I might have the answer to #9...it's because the inside of the pineapple was carved out in the shape of a square...that's how his house has corners. :P

  3. lol, the meaning of life huh? We're born, we live, we die--And when we die we stop breathing, rofl, that is all I know and the more I think I know I realize all that can change--I know nothing. Too funny, love it.

  4. Excellent questions, all. I've asked the same thing about those Disney movies. Never watched Sponge Bob, though.

  5. LOL. Very good questions. Disney is much better writing their women now than they used to be. And the TV show Once Upon a Time makes all the women smarter then the men.

Thanks for participating in the blog hop.

  8. Hysterical questions! Love the list. As for the first two, I think we are here to love others and love God. The Bible calls death a "sleep." We sleep until all is decided by God. Two resurrections: one for those who lived in love and one for those who didn't. I don't believe ina place called hell. He will tell those who have lived a selfish life why they can't come to heaven, (they would hate it there anyway), that will be hell to hear that, then they will die in an everlasting sleep. I hope I didn't offend you by my answer, but you did ask! Sorry.

  9. Interesting questions, I hope they don't keep you awake at night. Especially the last 10.
As for the first two: I believe we are here to serve, and death is the gateway to another world, as long as we've done our due diligence in this world. Atrocities, horrors, or failing to fulfill our destiny means repeating until we get it right. May not be the answer, but it sounds good to me!

  10. Your questions are great! Funny, too :) Not that I have any answers for them!

  11. The first answer is 42. Both Ariel and Snow White missed the line when God created brains. The Beast ate his parents..he was hungry. Chip's dad was the candlestick-he knows what to do with those sticks..just saying. The 7 Dwarves sold the magic mirror to go gambling but they spent all their money, lost their home and ended up in housing. Squidward was recently arrested for indecent exposure, so he won't be showing up with sponge Bob any time soon. Sponge Bob and Gary the Snail both take LSD and just think they live in a pineapple and meow. Bikini Bottom? Isn't that where Squidward lives? I heard he never took baths and is quite stinky. As for Pearl, she was adopted and has no idea who her real parents are. I think I answered the questions:)

  12. I've wondered about a few of these myself. Ariel could write, so why did she never just write to him? Seriously, she could have avoided so many issues if she'd just picked up a quill.

  13. To answer your questions.
    1. 42
    2. If we are bad we are forced to watch Brady Bunch reruns non-stop. If we are good, we can choose what we want to watch.
3,4. Disney obviously doesn't believe in intelligent women.
    5. They were on holiday and the plane they were on crashed.
    6. I know the answer but can't say. It's embarrassing to Mrs. Potts and Lumier.
    7. They moved to Springfield to work for a brewery. They renamed themselves, Edgy, Remorseful, Dizzy, Tipsy, Surely, Queasy and Sleasy. They never saw Snow White again.
8-12 Every episode is simply David Hasselhoff's night terrors.

  14. I'll go with Belle Unruh's answer as it was well said and essentially what I believe other than a point or two.

As for the others, I have no idea and have never thought of them. I'm stumped.

  15. Hahahahahahahahaa... I love this :D I'm sorry, no answers here—just more questions. But I love that there's someone out there wondering about these things on a regular (sort of?) basis :D

  16. 3. Because it wasn't in the script. ;-)
    5. Most likely dead. Read Shakespeare and you'll learn that rulers often die...
    6. Now, that's a really interesting question. And who is the father? A hot water kettle?
    8. He's a squid and those need to ejaculate ink when in danger. A pant would be in the way.
    12. Easy: either she was adopted or a foster child.

  17. (1) I’m sure many have said “42”, or even perhaps “23” if they are in a spooky mood, but I’d have to say “to live”. (2) Depends on whether or not you believe in a afterlife? I think what we believe will make all the difference. (3) Disney was too chicken to tell the real story. In the original story, if she had found a way to tell him, she would have forfeited her chances; by telling him she would have influenced his decision. (4) Some pretty girls are naïve because no one ever gives them opportunities or chances to be otherwise. (5) They could have been home. Castles are big. Sometimes parents can’t keep kids from opening doors in a one bedroom apartment let alone a castle. Perhaps they got broken when turned into objects or perhaps they weren’t home and chose not to return after the curse. (6) I believe the curse stopped time for all the servants in the castle so they could help raise the Beast as he grew. Chip was probably 5 when the curse happened and got stuck that way. (7) I think the Dwarves continued to work in the diamond mines. They probably saw her once a year at a royal festival. The magic mirror probably still hangs and the castle and has been repurposed for good.
    I’m skipping the SpongeBob questions.
